Since its inception in March of 2001, the Jim McComb Chevrolet Sweet Deal Selldown has undoubtedly been one of the most watched weekly programs in Central Illinois. While the "Selldown" is clearly an advertisement for our used cars and trucks in Peoria, it has evolved into much more. Without fail, the dedicated staff at Jim McComb Chevrolet record 104 Selldowns per year, rain or shine. Each taping involves carefully deciding which vehicles to feature, if there will be special guests, what promotions we are running in that particular week, and if we have any special weather considerations to account for. We also regularly feature special offers from Chevrolet and General Motors and showcase at least one new vehicle per week, including the all-new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro and 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. We have only had to cancel one taping due to weather, when a snowstorm prevented nearly everyone at the dealership from getting to work.

Over the years, we have gained many loyal followers who watch our program during the Saturday Today Show on WEEK, Channel 25 or on Comcast's Channel 5 and 44 throughout the week. Initially, the show was known as the Jim McComb Chevrolet Saturday Selldown, but since we became the "Home of the Sweet Deal," the program name naturally changed. During the course of a given year, especially in warmer weather, the famous Jim McComb Chevrolet Sweet Deal Candy Bar makes appearances and has been known to spontaneously slash prices on any vehicle that strikes his fancy. Even the program's producers are unaware of the Candy Bar's appearances until the very last minute.
